Visitor Insights

A plain account of what Urban Roost is, who stands behind it, what appears on each page, and why official listing links matter.

01

An independent platform focused on hospitality discovery — what this site is and, plainly, what it is not

Urban Roost is a static editorial website. It presents hospitality properties in Canada through short, structured descriptions so readers can orient themselves before visiting an official listing.

It is not a booking engine, not a travel agency and not a marketplace. Nothing on these pages initiates a reservation or holds a room. If you arrived expecting a search that returns live inventory, you will not find one — by design.

Discovery, here, means reading. The site helps you notice setting, class and context. It does not optimise a funnel or nudge a checkout. That boundary is the product.

The homepage introduces the method; the catalog pages hold the properties; the editorial pages explain the stance. Legal pages state the limits in formal language. Together they form one guide, not a suite of tools.

Who We Are — an independent guide with no ownership of, or agreement with, any property named on it

Urban Roost is published as an independent editorial project under the urbanroost.site domain. The contact address for the guide is [email protected].

We do not own the hotels, resorts or casinos described here. We hold no management agreement, franchise relationship or marketing contract with them. Property names appear for identification only.

Editorial decisions — which properties appear on which catalog page, how a paragraph is framed — are made for reading clarity, not for commercial partnership. There is no paid placement programme on this site.

If you need to reach the people who operate a property, use the channels on that property’s own listing. If you need to reach this guide, use the contact form.

What We Present — descriptive overviews of accommodation, amenities and surroundings, in a consistent structure

Each catalog card carries one photograph, the property name exactly as supplied, its city and province, a short description, and a single outbound button to the official listing.

Descriptions stay inside verified facts: category, star class and setting. We do not add room counts, restaurant names, awards or renovation years. Where a fact is absent from the source data, the prose simply does not invent it.

Amenities are treated as categories of experience — rooms, dining, wellness, public space — rather than as marketing checklists. Surroundings matter: waterfront, downtown, countryside and airport corridors change how a stay feels.

The same structure on every card makes comparison possible without scoring. You read two entries the same way; the differences emerge from the places themselves.

Our Approach — clarity, structure and transparency, and why the site sends readers to official listing pages for details

Clarity means saying what a property is and stopping. Structure means repeating the same fields so nothing important hides in a novel layout. Transparency means stating, on every page, that this guide is independent and processes no bookings.

Official listing pages are where inventories, house rules and current facilities are maintained by parties closer to the property. Sending you there is not a deferral of responsibility for accuracy of overview — it is recognition of where live detail belongs.

We keep outbound links limited to those listing URLs, each used only on its own card. Every other link stays inside urbanroost.site or opens a mailto to the guide’s inbox.

If something in an entry looks wrong, tell us via Contact Us. Corrections improve the record; they do not create affiliation.
